What is
Untamed Men?
Untamed Men is an invitation you never knew you needed.
We are here for two reasons:
To make sure you know that priestly life is heroic, joyful, and filled with purpose
To invite you to wonder if God might be calling you to become a priest
That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Spend time with us and you’ll get free books, invitations to prayer, inspiring stories of heroic priests, and other top quality content all directed at those two purposes.
Here’s what we’re not going to do:
We’re not here to make money off of you.
Pretty much everything we have to offer is free.
We’re not here to trick you into anything.
Only God calls men to the priesthood.
We’re not here to sell you out.
Nobody is going to know you’re thinking about this unless you want them to.
Fair enough?
When you’re ready, begin by taking a look around and checking out our free stuff.
Remember: This all exists for you.

I will not be tamed
About Us
This whole thing is about you, not us. But there’s probably some good things to know as you get started.
We’re Catholic
Roman Catholic, to be precise.
We’re Faithful
We are joyfully obedient to the magisterium of the Catholic Church. We believe the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. We love our priests.
We’re National
We primarily serve the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. We don’t serve one particular diocese, vocation director, or Bishop… we serve all of them.
We’re All About Priests
We love marriage and religious sisters and permanent deacons and consecrated single-life. But we’re only here to promote the priesthood.
Why “Untamed Men”?
In C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and indeed throughout other books in the Chronicles of Narnia series, the author reminds us that the great Lion, Aslan, is “not a tame lion.” The book is a Christian allegory, and Aslan represents Jesus.
“
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “...Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good.
He’s the King, I tell you.”
”
The priest acts in persona christi, or “in the person of Christ” in latin. Pope Saint John Paul II said, “The priest offers his humanity to Christ, so that Christ may use him as an instrument of salvation, making him as it were into another Christ.”
This is what the world needs. Men who will be used as instruments of salvation. Men who will act as Christ here on earth.
And that’s the last thing the devil wants.
The devil wants to placate, to subdue you, to remove anything important from your life and leave you spending hours of your life staring at your phone, chasing after money and sex and ambition, totally neutralized in the battle for souls.
He wants to tame you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Untamed Men is a ministry created to wake up Catholic men to the reality that God might be calling them to something greater… the priesthood. We offer free resources, stories, and challenges designed to help you hear God’s voice and live a heroic life of purpose and adventure.
No. It’s for any Catholic man who wants to know what God has planned for his life. Maybe you’ve never even thought about the priesthood — that’s okay. Untamed Men exists to help you ask the question and listen for God’s answer.
Not unless you tell them. We don’t share your information with anyone. This is between you and God until you decide otherwise.
We don’t “recruit” anyone. Only God calls a man to the priesthood. We simply want to help you get away from the noise, temptation, and distraction of the world so you create the space to hear His call.
Absolutely not. The priesthood isn’t about becoming someone else. It's about becoming fully alive as the man God created you to be. God doesn’t want to erase your fire; He wants to aim it.
Yes. In a world where everyone pretends to be perfect on social media while their life is in shambles, God calls men who are broken, flawed, and human to become something greater than any of us could imagine.
Get started here. You’ll find free books, downloadable resources, and opportunities for prayer. Even if you don’t think you want to be a priest, you should check this stuff out. It’s for any Catholic man, 18-35, who isn’t married, and lives in the United States.
